Note to those who missed last nights broadcast, there will be spoilers.
Google Lori Holden ( Andrea)’s interviewers on various talk shows.
Apparently, she is trying to redeem her character’s image in the media and on social networks.
Last night on The Talking Dead, she made it known that Andrea was not a bad woman. She just makes bad decisions.
Episode 14 of Season Three opened with a flashback.
Andrea and Michonne sitting by the fire eating food out of cans.
It was nice being able to see another piece of the real Michonne.
Apparently, her pets are two men who did something horrible to her.
She described them as animals.
It is obvious that they assaulted her in some way in the past.
This was one moment when I was able to truly understand Michonne.
I am sure there are more to come in future episodes and seasons.
That was the past.
The governor is laying everything out on the table literally. He places all sort of sharp tools on a table.
I immediately recognize a speculum which leads me to believe that Phil dabbles in a little gynecological exploration from time to time.
There is a rather retro looking dentists chair with yellow leather.
He even set up some chains in a door way with hoops to hold Michonne’s wrists.
Boy, is he sick!!!
( For those who read the comic book I am sure you felt uneasy when he was on his knees.)
Milton is as uncomfortable as the viewer is and tries to inquire about what Phil is doing.
The Governor seems fixated on making Michonne pay for killing Penny ( who was technically dead already) and taking his eye.
Milton leaves to find Andrea.
He takes her to an open vent and shows her what he is planning.
Andrea is so upset that she points her gun down at the Governor with the intent to shoot him.
However, Milton stops her explaining that even if he is dead ,Martinez will kill her and take his place.
In other words, his death will not stop the war that is about to begin.
I am unsure about Milton and his loyalties. Yes, he showed her the torture room but, after he bailed on her in the woods last episode.
I agree with Todd McFarland, there is something fishy about Milton ( or Waylon Smithers as some viewers are calling him).
I do not blame Andrea for ” high tailing it out” of Woodbury.
Nor did I blame Tyreese and Sasha for stepping out of her way.
Never come between a woman on a mission.
I believe that they are starting to see Woodbury for what it is especially Tyreese.
She wanted to warn the prison group of what they are up against.
One character who I will not miss if he becomes zombie food is Allen.
I was upset that he told the secrets of the prison to the Governor in episode 10.
No one asked you, Allen.
It was not the time to bring up mistakes of the past particularly the fact that Donna, his wife slept with Tyreese.
They are in a new place with people they do not know. Now is not the time to fracture your group regardless of the hospitality of Woodbury.
During a visit to a zombie trap complete with a bus full of hungry zombies and a zombie pit,
Tyreese nearly fed Allen to the zombies as a snack.
He literally dangled him above the zombies who nearly snatched him.
Sasha was able to talk him out of it.
Meanwhile, Martinez is on the side line watching with a smile.
Andrea watched one white truck drive past the field where she is running.
It seems like everything is okay.
That split second that she takes to catch her breath is enough time for the Governor to catch up to her.
How he was able to see her across that field with one eye is beyond me.
Anyway, he chases her into the nearby woods.
Rather than chase her on foot, he decides to take a short cut.
Andrea hides near a tree with a split trunk.
All is well until a zombie decides to reach through and hold her in a death grip.
Kudos to her , use of the knife Rick gave her.
She kills not one but, three zombies saving the death grip one for last.
Andrea continues running until she comes upon a warehouse.
The Governor arrives a minute or so later.
Andrea is home free hiding until in Walking Dead fashion out pops a zombie.
She kills him only to end up alerting the Governor of where she is.
To make a long story short, she runs toward a stairwell full of zombies.
This situation comes in handy when Philip nearly catches her. She unleashes said zombies onto him and escapes.
He screams and I think finally the Governor is done.
At this point, I am very happy.
Andrea got away.
Now she can warn the others of what is to come.
Remember that zombie trap and the zombie bus, well someone decided to drive up and set it all on fire.
Some say it was Milton but, I beg to differ.
The cameras never showed the person’s face and all that the viewers saw were black heavy-duty gloves.
Later, Andrea is still running. She makes it nearly a hundred or so feet away from the front gate.
Unfortunately, someone decided that Rick should be on watch tower duty.
Andrea waves her hands a few times and then tries to catch her breath.
All of suddenly, the Governor comes behind her and pulls her to the ground.
Now Rick who believes that he is seeing things again sees a bit of the commotion and points a gun in that direction.
He gets himself together and continues staring down at the zombies at the gate.
The Governor returns to Woodbury in his truck. He is greeted by some who inquire about Andrea’s whereabouts.
He explains that he was unable to find her.
The Governor assumes that Tyreese set the fire to the zombie pit.
Where did you get the gasoline?,” he asks.
” Come again,” replies Tyreese.
The Governor comes upon Milton they exchange a few words .
Milton offers his condolences and inquires as to whether or not there is a suspect.
The camera pulls away towards a red door. It opens and the viewer is led up a hallway to a door that is cracked.
The door flies open to reveal Andrea tied up with tape over her mouth. She is seated on the torture chair in the torture room.
Andrea, Andrea, Andrea….everyone tried their best to warn her.
However, the Governor had her at hello.
Michonne noticed something sinister in episode 5.
She tried to convince Andrea to leave with her but, she refused.
Unfortunately, it is too late.
Now we have to “prey” for her because her fate is not looking good.
One more episode until the season finale…
until Sunday readers.
